Getting
there
---------------
Switchbacks Spain is best served by Granada airport with a transfer time of 1 hour 10 mins. Ryanair and Monarch service Granada airport.
Customers can fly into Malaga, but with a transfer time 2 hours 15 mins, we will have to make a small charge of £20 to cover the transfer both to and from our base in Bubion.
What you will need?
----------------------
There's not much you'll need
to take but here's a few recommendations:
- Your normal riding kit including camelbak, spares, tubes, tools, pump etc.
We wear open face helmets and unless you always wear one, full facers will be too hot. If you've got some elbow and shin pads bring them, if not we can set you up with some - subject to availability.
- Ipod - we have an Ipod speaker stand.
- Between November and April,
the weather can be very changeable so bring high altitude riding
gear like a good windstopper, water proof and tights.
- Water is essential and as
much of it as possible. A 3-litre Camelbak is the best solution.
- For the beach, sun factor
50 (just kidding), BIG towel, trashy novel, li-low, bikini or
trunks. And for the bar you'll need your dancing shoes, Lynx and
paracetamol.
- £150 spending money
should be sufficient for the week. There is a cash machine in the village if you run out.
- Insurance - proof of medical
insurance covering you for mountain biking or extreme sports is
required just in case. No insurance - no riding!
This must be supplemented for European citizens with a European Health Card available online.
