Mountain biking trip prices 2010
The cost of a week's 2010 holiday with Switchbacks Spain is 495€. If you've been before or are in a group of 5 or more there is a 10% discount.
One of the principle reasons riders come to Switchbacks is due to the sheer amount of singletrack we ride. We don't believe that you should spend hours riding to and from the trails on roads. This takes up valuable time that could be spent owning the trail. It's very expensive to run a full-time vehicle support and sessioning service, but our philosophy has always been that you can ride on roads or climb anywhere but you CANNOT ride endless dusty singletrack at home. If you want to ride on roads go to the Canaries, if you want ONLY singletrack then ride with Switchbacks.
Switchbacks also caters for day rides, longer stays or just a few days. For long weekends check our weekend packages.
What your money will get you:
- Expert guiding in small groups - We will show you the best undiscovered trails in Europe
- Optional coaching - ever wanted to ride small or BIG drops, tight technical switchbacks, rock gardens? We will show you how. This service is offered as part of every week and customers benefit greatly from it. The coaching is offered subtely or one on one as part of every ride for those who wish with the first day including session of sections to help get your head around the more fundamental principles.
- All transfers from Malaga airport.

What you will need?
There's not much you'll need to take but here's a few recommendations:
- Your normal riding kit including camelbak, spares, tubes, tools, pump etc.
- We wear open face helmets and some customers wear full face XC helmets. If you've got some elbow and shin pads bring them, if not we can set you up with some - subject to availability.
- Ipod - we have an Ipod speaker stand.
- Bring an 8GB USB pen drive so you can take home a film of your stay which we'll make from our headcams.
- Water is essential and as much of it as possible. A 3-litre Camelbak is the best solution.
- £150 spending money should be sufficient for the week. There is a cash machine in the village if you run out.
- Insurance - proof of medical insurance covering you for mountain biking or extreme sports is required just in case. No insurance - no riding! This must be supplemented for European citizens with a European Health Card available online
